“A book club that meets in a pub” is the catchphrase for a continuing event of the Grantsburg Public Library called “Books on Tap.” It’s free and open to the public — if you’re 21 or older.

The club will meet next at 7 p.m. Wednesday, March 15 at T’Dawgs Bar and Grill at 429 St. Road 70 in Grantsburg.

The next book “on tap” is The Art of Racing in the Rain by Garth Stein. Copies of the selected book are available for check-out at the Grantsburg Public Library.

Grantsburg Public Library Librarian Kristina Kelley-Johnson said, “Join ‘Books on Tap,’ a book discussion group that meets in a bar. Come, grab a drink, discuss books, and meet new people!”

The club's goal is to involve everyone reading a specific book, and then discussing that book over a drink, a beer or glass of wine. Think of it as hanging out with your friends, only instead of people you already know, you are meeting and chatting with people with a common interest.

Call the library to register at (715) 463-2244.
