May 5, 1953 - May 8, 2018

Cindy May Rutherford, 65, of Frederic, WI was called home to heaven on May 8th, 2018. She was born on May 4, 1953 in Grantsburg, WI.

She graduated from Siren High School in 1971. She attended St. Mary College, obtained her Bachelor’s degree, and worked as an Occupational Therapy Assistant through River Ridge Rehabilitation. She also had 4 children, Bruce, Stan, Jesse, and Heather.

When Cindy was not working, she loved to spend time with her family and fellow Church of Christ members. Cindy was always happy and smiling, even though she had many health difficulties. She would often sing Christian songs throughout the day. She loved to dance at home, garden, crochet, read her Bible, cook, play card games, and play piano. In fact, people would often come over for dinner at Cindy’s to enjoy her company, hospitality, and cooking.  Cindy loved her children and enjoyed spoiling her grandchildren.

Cindy married Robert Rutherford on November 21, 1999.  They enjoyed living together at their home in Frederic. They loved going out on dates together.  She really loved working in her garden, and Bob and Cindy canned fruits and vegetables every year.

Cindy is preceded in death by her parents, Beatrice and Wayne and step-daughter, Leanna.

She is survived by her husband, Robert; children, Bruce, Stan, Jesse, Heather, Christine and Rebecca; brothers, Lynn and Bob (Wayne); sisters, Charlene and Elsie; grandchildren, Wren, Tyler, Christian, Collin, Brandon, Zachary, Madison, AnnaBelle, Gavin, Brayden, Isaac, Jared, Lucas, Jasper, Logan, Anna, Daniel, Theresa, BilliJoe, and Stephanie; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
